Our client's chicken coop had begun to be reclaimed by the elements. We were all to happy to take on the project and help them out.
First, we were able to salvage quite a few good pieces of lumber that would be used in the new build. We were also able to repurpose a bit of the chicken wire and roofing.

The goal for this project was a larger and safer space for the existing chickens along with a few new addition. It was also crucial to bring the space up to the code of city ordinances.
We started with the basic frame, added the roof, nesting boxes and roosts. We then began to "predator proof" the coop by installing a thick gauge wire mesh extending a foot out. We then wrapped the complete enclosure with wire and chicken wire.
The chickens loved their new palace as did the family of Urban-farmers.
